I was THRILLED to be able to do a destination wedding at a place I had wanted to see since it was built! The opportunity to photograph a Margaritaville wedding was particularly special to me because I am a total Parrothead. In case you aren't familiar with the term, it means- a huge Jimmy Buffet fan! The bride Megan, and her groom Jonathan were new to Florida and wanted a wedding that would vibe with their new lifestyle. The wedding was intimate, with less than 100 guests. Many of their friends and family flew in for the occasion to celebrate. Here's a little look back on their day.
Oh the WIND! The wind for this wedding was something I have yet to experience at any of my Tampa weddings! Chicago? It was typical there, but this was unexpected! Thankfully we had an amazing makeup and hair artist, Carrie Mallonee of Bella Bombshells by Carrie. (www.bellabombshellsbycarrie.com) who perfected Megan's look. She wanted to look "like herself" that day, and Carrie nailed her look, and her hair held up amazingly well!
After the windy ceremony we were SUPER short on time but we managed to get all the family photos, group images, and wedding portraits done for the couple. They couldn't wait to go get the party started and get wasted away in Margaritaville!
Megan had a brilliant idea for their "guest book" and turned their favorite game into a way to remember their special day forever, by having guests sign their Cornhole/Bags set! How cute! In keeping with the ocean theme, everything was done in shades of blue and turquoise to make the wedding reception feel like it was "under the sea" and tranquil. Check out that awesome cake!
I love being able to travel do weddings all over the beautiful state of Florida, and this Margaritaville wedding will always be a favorite! Congratulations on your marriage Mr. & Mrs. Reiner!
